TriMech Training Tidbits: Assembly Modeling - Level Two
This webinar will continue the bulldozer project started in the last Assembly Training Tidbits Level 1 webinar. The focus this time is Top-Down Assembly Modeling, during which we will be adding a weldment part (step and handrail), sheet metal part (hood), and belt feature (fan belt on motor).
The step and handrail will be easier to add to this model if we insert a part into the top-level assembly and sketch it right on the actual dozer. A similar approach will be used for the hood, the convert to sheet metal feature makes it easy to take the initial shape and create manufacturable part. Lastly, the motor subassembly will be added to the main dozer assembly after we find a suitable belt length for the fan belt using the belt/chain assembly feature and draw the belt.
