What is ENOVIA?
ENOVIA PLM software is the product lifecycle management backbone of the Dassault Systèmes portfolio, used by many of the world's largest and most technically advanced manufacturing enterprises to streamline their organization.
In this video we give you a quick run down of what ENOVIA is and how it could benefit you.

So ENOVIA is one of the core brands that makes a 3D experience as a platform. ENOVIA focuses more on the data management side of a business. So we start, we sort of look at what's around the CAD data. You bring your data into the platform, whether that's SolidWorks data, the CATIA data could even be from other CAD systems as well. And ENOVIA will allow you to plan your business processes around that data, things like issue management, change management requirements, management. We can give 3D visibility to everyone in the business without the need of, you know, a CAD license or a CAD machine. They can view 3D data just through a web browser pretty much on any device. If as a business, you are starting to struggle with things like data integrity. So if you're starting to have files that are maybe being accidentally overwritten, files are maybe being put in the wrong place, getting lost if you're losing track of data that maybe you're sharing externally. All of these kind of little things that add up to a lot of hidden factories in businesses where we spend a lot of time fixing these little errors, then I would say that looking at the 3D experience platform and more specifically the ENOVIA brand within it is probably something that would be worthwhile for ENOVIA is for any business that wants to implement data management, to give more security and confidence around the data and start to pull their data into. To coin a phrase, a single source of truth. So a big thing, the 3D experience is all of the roles are broken down. So you don't just have everything from day one. But the idea is that the platform, the 3D experience platform can grow with you as a business. So yes, data management can be complicated, but not if you take it in bite sized chunks. If you look at what are the big pain points within your business at the moment, maybe that is change control. Maybe change is out of control in the business or it's done on spreadsheets. It's very manual. All of that kind of thing. Then you could look at ENOVIA and just deal with getting your CAD data into the platform and then putting that data into change control. And that might be as simple as it starts. And from there you might grow into, okay, now let's track issues and then link those issues into change control. Another side of it might be that other areas of your business could benefit from viewing the CAD data, but obviously you don't want to be giving everybody in the business a CAD license and a big CAD workstation. So ENOVIA brings that 3D for all elements, which allows everyone in the platform to view the 3D data that's been generated by the engineers on and pretty much any device that's got a web browser, whether that's a a tablet, a low spec laptop, a phone. So PDM manages the check in, check out of the data. So it does give you that control that you don't have copies being overwritten, multiple people working on data at the same time, that kind of thing. The platform kind of goes to the next level. So from the ENOVIA side, yes, we bring the CAD data in, we push the CAD data out, we lock it, we stop people overwriting data, but then we can start to track issues directly against that data. We can start to drop pins on 3D models inside ENOVIA that show where the issue is on that 3D data. We bring in an element of change control. So even with the basic access license, we can do change actions that allow you to put an approval process around a change to an object. From there you can grow into things like requirements management upfront before you even start the design. Let's track out exactly what do we need it to do? We can do project management, which will electronically send out tasks to all the users of 3D experience platform. Those users can update those tasks on progress. They can attach data and deliverables directly to them, which means that your project manager is updated live. Not doing the run around trying to get everybody's updates ready for the project management review. That happens maybe on Friday morning. They can do it whenever they want to because the date is constantly updated. live from the users that are completing the tasks. 3D experience is not just a cloud offering. The cloud offering has a lot of benefits. It takes away infrastructure costs, upgrade cross costs, all of that kind of thing. But it is available on premise as well. So we can do a local install on infrastructure that you've already got and you'll get all of the benefits through the expense on the cloud office. But just with an on premise install. So you're in control of your servers, your data bases, all of your data is local being on your site, if that's what you want as a customer. As we touched on earlier, ENOVIA is just one of the core brands within the 3D Experience platform. We've also got SolidWorks, which is obviously CAD design, we've got CATIA we've got SIMULIA which is Simulation DELMIA which is manufacturing, and there's many, many other brands as well. But those are kind of the core that make up 3D experience.
