SWOOD Door Design: Inlay & Overlay Doors
This video introduces creating inlay and overlay doors in SWOOD. It explains that inlay doors sit inside the cabinet frame, while overlay doors sit outside. For inlay doors, the process involves creating a new panel, linking its dimensions to SWOOD Box planes, adjusting material thickness, and applying mates for correct positioning and symmetry. Overlay doors require offset planes to represent the cabinet exterior, followed by similar steps for panel insertion and mating. Both designs are tested by editing frame parameters to ensure dynamic updates. These models can be reused for future projects, enabling quick insertion and easy adjustments.
