SOLIDWORKS Electrical and Routing tools are used to design, document and manufacture electrical harnesses. The session covers manual routing in SOLIDWORKS Premium, using connectors, clips, splices and automated path generation with auto‑route. It then introduces from‑to lists imported from Excel for automated routing and updates. The final workflow shows SOLIDWORKS Electrical schematics linked directly to 3D, enabling real‑time updates, wire numbering, automated reports and full harness routing along predefined paths. Flattened harnesses, drawings, bills of materials and accurate wire lengths are created, improving accuracy, collaboration and manufacturing efficiency.
