This is the FreeScan Combo and this is the
entry level scanner in Shining's metrology range.
So it's kind of the very first one in the metrology range.
Now this is probably the most
popular scanner of all of the Shining scanners.
It's a cabled scanner, cable to your computer,
so your computer does all the processing.
But as I said, it's in the metrology range,
it's metrology rated,
it's accurate to 20 microns and it's
fantastic if you want to get into
inspection,
you want to get into accurate reverse engineering.
It's a really good all-rounder scanner.
It has a laser unit in the middle here and an infrared node,
so the laser's really good for
getting those high accuracy scans with markers.
The infrared mode is really good if you want to
scan larger things without markers and can track without that.
The FreeScan Combo is a great all-rounder,
we see it used in all sorts of different industries.
The most common one is probably the automotive
industry.
It's great for doing car parts,
body panels,
components,
engines,
anything that comes
with the car,
you name it,
this will scan it really,
really nicely.
And because it's got the laser in
the infrared mode,
you can go down to really small intricate
components all the way up to the entire
car if you need it to.
The FreeScan Combo is really easy to use,
it's very quick to train someone on it,
it's very simple,
the software's all workflow based,
so anyone can pick it up and get running with it.
And it has controls on the back so you can
change things on the scanner as you're going,
so you don't have to keep running back
and forth to your computer as well.
It's all-round,
very easy to use scanner and gives you very good,
quick,
consistent results.
