The video explains how to split a part in SOLIDWORKS using a sketch or surface. After sketching the split line with Convert Entities, activate the Split command under Direct Editing. Choose bodies to cut, name and optionally save them as separate parts. Use Move/Copy Body to reposition and continue modelling.
