SMAP 3D
Plant design is a complete
end to end solution for designing
pipework systems and producing clear
and professional diagrams.
SMAP 3D Plant Design contains
a standalone P&ID application
and a 3D piping add in for SolidWorks
to allow you to create P&ID
drawings and mechanical pipe layouts with
an intuitive toolset to quickly produce
clear diagrams for stakeholders
and onsite engineers, process
engineers can set out
their systems in the P&ID application,
making use of company and industry
standard symbols from an extensive
and customizable library.
Specifications provide consistency
to ensure that only the right
connections and components
and settings are used in the designs.
Check for errors, create bills of materials,
or produce component lookup lists
with live links between pages.
While diagrams all export
faithfully to PDFs with metadata
that is easily accessible
even to the onsite engineers.
SMAP 3D Plant Designs
3D piping add in for SolidWorks
provides its own additional specialist
toolset for creating pipework systems
in 3D, while harnessing the familiar
SolidWorks interface and controls.
Creating a new pipe
route is as simple as drawing a sketch.
You don't need to add bends or splits
or even end connections.
Instead, consistency between projects
is ensured by specifications
to handle the start and end fittings,
as well as any T’s or branches.
Additional inline
components can also be added at this time.
Designs
created in SMAP 3D piping can be driven
by the P&ID automatically populating
files, with a complete list
of the components to be placed,
and the pipelines to be made
with all details
communicated between the two applications.
SMAP 3D piping with ISO adds
the isometric application that allows you
to turn your pipeline route
into a clean and clear isometric drawing.
Translate pipeline designs
into simplified line schematics of routes
showing the path with simple symbols
for components, fully dimensioned
cut lists and building materials
included as required.
