Just getting ready to go meet a client for
coffee and discuss our new engineering design
that we've just come up with.
Why don't you come along?
Like all of us,
engineers are on the go more than ever
and they need access to things like
drawings and supporting documentation on their mobile devices.
They may even need to be able to
participate in things like approving
documents while they're traveling.
While I've been driving,
I just got an email indicating that a drawing
needs my approval as soon as possible.
On my phone or
tablet,
regardless of the web browser I'm using,
I can securely log into the vault via the mobile
platform.
Once in,
I can browse the folder structure and click
on the drawing that requires my attention.
Of course,
I don't want to just rubber stamp the approval,
so I'm going to open it up in eDrawings.
With the eDrawings mobile app,
I can pull the drawing up and review it while I'm still on the go.
Now that I'm happy with the review of the design,
I'm going to go ahead and provide my approval.
This is a rush order for this customer,
so luckily I have the ability to fast track approve it right
from the browser.
Access to data on the go is fantastic,
but what about distributed engineering
teams?
Maybe I have a team in a different state or even a different country.
How do I ensure fast,
for those teams?
With SOLIDWORKS PDM Professional,
we provide replication capabilities that ensures
that those teams always have access to the data when they need it.
Thanks for coming along on this
trip with me.
Hope you've enjoyed it.
If you did,
feel free to share this video with a colleague or
friend.
We'll see you next time.
