SOLIDWORKS PDM Replication: Enhancing Performance for Distributed Workforces
On-demand
Imagine that you’re in the zone, focused in on the next task on your plate and you navigate to your PDM Vault to continue working. From here you click on a file and seemingly nothing happens. You might wait for a little bit, then get up to get some more coffee or chat up a coworker, and finally when you come back the dialogue has loaded. Unfortunately, at this point the mojo is gone and you really don’t have the motivation to keep working. We typically see this occur when connecting to SOLIDWORKS PDM over a great distance (i.e. working in a satellite office when the PDM Server is at headquarters across the country). However, within SOLIDWORKS PDM Professional there are mechanisms where we can alleviate some of the latency and get back to a faster, more productive work environment.
Join us as SOLIDWORKS Data Management Expert, Sawyer Gara, leads us through an overview of SOLIDWORKS PDM Professional Replication. We’ll start off discussing the architectural fundamentals of a PDM Server and how it all interacts with the end user. After understanding the architecture, we’ll dive in to PDM Replication and understand why you might want to consider replicating your PDM Server. From there, we go a little deeper into some of the nuances of SOLIDWORKS PDM Replication. Finally, we’ll discuss some keys to success and areas to think about when implementing Vault Replication.
During this SOLIDWORKS PDM webinar, you will learn:
The Fundamentals of PDM Server Architecture
Understand SOLIDWORKS PDM Replication
Learn the Benefits of Replicating PDM
Differentiate Archive Server vs. Database Server Replication
Keys to a Successful Replication
