SolidWorks.
Visualize become a go to solution
for SolidWorks users.
Rendering needs,
creating photorealistic, engaging content
directly from your cab models.
In this short video will come enhancements
for 2026 release
applicable for all versions of visualize
will be using Visualize Standard,
Visualize Professional,
or Visualize Connected.
One of the main development
areas of visualize
this year is developed within SolidWorks
itself, aimed at make of the workflow.
Taking your CAD to renders even easier.
This starts with brand new
appearance type and library in SolidWorks,
the DSP.
Our appearances, the visualize users.
We've been using this appearance type
since 2024
and is the default appearance model
for all of data systems applications
from Catia 3D Experience
platform on the X apps.
This process ensures a 1 to 1 appearance
translation from SolidWorks to visualize,
ensuring a smooth process
and avoiding timely rework.
Sometimes you just need a quick image
from SolidWorks
to show internal stakeholders.
A screenshot is not visually good enough.
However, you need to take it quickly.
Now in SolidWorks 2026,
we have a render button.
This allows you to set your current view
in SolidWorks or any defined camera,
and silently render it within visualize
without leaving the SolidWorks interface.
Your internal design review presentations
get a whole lot
better with photorealistic images directly
from SolidWorks powered by visualize.
We still need to access SolidWorks
visualize for complex renders,
where visual feedback from our changes
is key
to setting up a project.
Fast mode has been made for this purpose.
Give a real time feedback on your lighting
and appearance choices.
This has been expanded to
on an AMD graphics cards
as well as Nvidia,
and can run with no graphic
card acceleration,
just purely on your processor.
Fast mode
has had yet another speed increase
in the service packs released since 2025.
Give you real time rendering capabilities.
In this example, we have a large project
with a full car model
in a physically modeled scene.
This is not a prerecorded animation.
Instead, an animation
being rendered in real time
with fast mode,
as the camera is driven by a 3D mouse.
Just a few years back,
this kind of real time
rendering would have seemed out of reach.
Now it's not only possible,
it's part of your everyday workflow.
This capability really highlights
developments in this area in recent years.
With this development, in the last five
years, we've seen SolidWorks, visualize
or looking back even further, comparing
where we were ten years ago
with Photo View 360.
Appearances have been enhanced
with both translucency
and thin film parameters.
Translucency
allows for control of amounts of light
passing through a surface,
as well as any color tinting.
This allows extra realism
when creating the appearances of human
skin, or even leaves,
where the light is shining through.
Thin film simulates light diffraction,
creating colorful patterns of materials.
This allows creation of complex
appearances,
for example, soap bubbles or oil on water.
This also creates iridescence effect
found on many sunglasses and ski goggles
sometimes create a fuller rented scene.
We need to import non SolidWorks geometry.
We can now retest light
the geometry reducing
or increasing the level of detail
captured in of polygons.
This is useful when simplifying
and optimizing large project files
with many polygons for IV performance,
or exporting downstream for visualization
pipelines.
Once geometry has been imported, it can be
split up with enhanced part split tool.
This gives the ability to isolate
and focus upon the component
you're working on.
With more selection options
like paintbrush.
You can quickly select
the faces that you want.
Give you more control the flexibility
on how you split your geometry.
Need any extra power for your renders?
Well visualized professional uses
have always had the ability
to offer over renders
to visualize before service.
This functionality has now been extended
to visualize connected users to allowing
even more power to create those renders.
That wraps up the exciting enhancements
and solar works.
