Getting started with SOLIDWORKS CAM - Part 1
This video introduces the basics of setting up SOLIDWORKS CAM, highlighting the CAM feature tree, operations tree and tool library. It explains how to define the machine, select a tool crib, add milling and drilling tools and choose a post processor. The workflow continues with creating a coordinate system, positioning the G54 on the stock and configuring stock dimensions using a bounding box, sketch or predefined billet. The setup concludes with assigning material and preparing the model for automatic or manual toolpath generation in the next stage.
