SOLIDWORKS Electrical opens with the Project Manager, allowing users to create, open, duplicate and manage projects, with filtering for quick searching. New projects are generated from templates such as IEC, with properties defined during setup. The interface is divided into ribbons, side panels, the graphics area and the status bar. Ribbons change based on drawing type, while dockable panels hold tools and project data. The status bar controls grid, snap, ortho and line‑thickness settings. Users can customise interface colours, mouse behaviour and access help and command search
