Dynamic Connection Labels in Flattened Routes for SOLIDWORKS Electrical
August 12, 2025 10:00 AM America/New_York

SOLIDWORKS Electrical offers numerous valuable tools to facilitate collaboration between electrical and mechanical engineers within a single environment. Whether users are pushing data from 2D to 3D or 3D to 2D, SOLIDWORKS Electrical can handle a wide variety of integrations. The collaboration between Electrical 2D and 3D has been enhanced over the last few years to include functionality that allows either mechanical or electrical users to manage the documentation of a drawing. This provides users the flexibility to make use of capabilities in both 3D and 2D.
Join TriMech Elite Application Engineer, Alaa Hosn, as he demonstrates how to generate a 3D route model from a 2D schematic. The route will then be flattened and have a drawing created in SOLIDWORKS CAD. This document will be exported to SOLIDWORKS Electrical Schematic, where dynamic connection labels will be used to help further manage electrical drawings.
In this SOLIDWORKS Electrical webinar, you will learn:
Pushing electrical schematic data from 2D to 3D
Creating flattened routes in 3D
Exporting drawings from SOLIDWORKS to Electrical Schematic
Inserting dynamic connection labels
Customizing dynamic connection labels
